5 Basic Tips for Rope Bondage Play


1. Eat beforehand but don't stuff yourself. You want to feel delirious from bliss, not hunger. But when that rope coils around your waist, you also don't want it to be squishing a stomach full of meatball hero. 

2. Pee right before, even if you just went 30 minutes ago. When you're feeling that lovely vibration of rope running across your bare skin is not the time to be hearing the call of nature.

3. Always communicate openly with your rope partner. Before you get tied up, tell them about any injuries, medical and mental conditions, limits, and desires. While you're tied up, tell them immediately if any body parts feel painful, numb, tingly, or just plain weird. 

4. Honor your limits. Forget what you've seen in photos or videos, what you've done before, and what you think you "should" be able to do. There are no "should"s in rope play. There is only what you can and can't do in the moment. Never push beyond your capabilities.

5. Have fun! It's your scene. If you want to be a captured maiden or lad being ravaged by a pirate, get out that ruffly shirt. If you want to be abducted by a secret agent who needs that damn code, practice saying, "I'll never tell" convincingly. Don't be embarrassed about your desires in a scene; whatever turns you on, you can bet there's a whole group of people who feel the same way.
